33cl bottle shared by Alexcg - thanks a lot!. Pours black with a fair, beige head. Pleasant roasty aroma with hoppy notes; licorice, pine, citrus and dark chocolate. Moderate to medium sweet with fairly mild flavours and bitterness, but easy to enjoy and certainly drinkable.

Grand tasting at Craft Islington with Hackobock. Thanks to Jacob. Light haze on this dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Airy palate, semi dry. Smooth mild dark malts. Tangy dark fruits and a little dark chocolate. A touch of mellow hop spice reminds this is supposed to be a CDA. Tangy dry finish. Severely lacking in the hop department.

Bottle shared at the Hackobock tasting at Craft Islington. Cheers! It pours darkest brown with a medium light tan head. The aroma is soft, sticky, roasty, umami character, dried fruits, blueberry and fruit cake. The taste is dry bitter - sweet, toasted malt, earthy, cocoa, plum, dates, dried fruits, jam and wood with a dry, fruity finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Decent fruity black ipa.
