Sample, cask, Volo’s Cask Days, savoured on October 27 2012; eye: black, opaque, tiny sheet of dark beige head, no lacing; nose: resinous hops, roasted barley, woody, bourbon, alcohol; mouth: resinous hops, roasted barley, woody, bourbon, alcohol, finale in alcohol with bourbon and woody presence, full body, not much carbonation, mildly sweet, alcoholic texture; overall: quite good FRANÇAIS Échantillon, cask, Cask Days de Volo, savourée le 27 octobre 2012; œil : noire, opaque, petite couverture de mousse beige foncé, pas de dentelle; nez : houblon résineux, orge torréfiée, boisé, bourbon, alcool; bouche : houblon résineux, orge torréfiée, boisé, bourbon, alcool, finale en alcool avec présence de bourbon et boisé, corsée, peu carbonatée, moyennement sucrée, texture alcoolique; en résumé : très bon

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, a superb soy sauce and chocolate with bourbon notes, musty and complex. In mouth, a sweet bitter chocolate with tobacco, soy, musty bourbon barrel, very nice. Cask at Cask Days 2012.
