This tastes like strong alcohol and not much more. Really not that good. An empty taste with a touch of watery sugar. Not sure what the goal is here, but I am sure it’s not being hit. Bottle from the brewery store.

Bottle: Poured a medium amber color bock with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and not much lacing. Aroma of sweet malt with caramel notes. Taste is not overly complex with some caramelized malt notes with light touch of toffee. Body is a bit light for style with good carbonation. Not bad but lacking taste or complexity.

A dark copper amber bock with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light solventy notes, burned caramel. In mouth, a sweet nutty malt with sweaty character, light astringency, not bad but not great. On tap at Mill St. Ottawa location, Feb. 4 2012.

Few ounce sample from bottle, pours a dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma of nuts, caramel and some bready malts. Flavour of bready malts, nuts, and toasted caramel - quite watered down. Medium-bodied with low complexity. Decent.

Got this one in the Mill Street Seasonal Sampler IV at the LCBO. Pours a clean light copper colour with an off-white head that is big, disappears at a medium pace and does not create much lacing. Pretty mild aromas of caramel and fruits (very light bananas). Medium-light mouthfeel with not much to it. Again, a balance of light caramel and bananas for the taste. Has a bit more taste than their ESB I just had, but overall not a powerful bock. Not even sure if it is good for a starter in the style. Easy-drinking is pretty much all I have to say - for a 7% ABV.
