Keg at the brewpub, 8/15/16. Hazy copper, thin head, poor retention. Aroma of toffee and raisin. The taste is toffee, cherries, herbal hops. Medium bodied, mild booze.

A dark reddish amber barley wine with mahogany hues and a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet peaty malt, we dough, warming alcohol, a bit boring. In mouth, a sweet malty barley wine, lightly vinous notes, treacle, burned caramel, not verry hoppy, On tap at the Istmus Beer and Cheese, Jan 21 2012.

GABF. Strong clear brown beer. Dry. Sweet and malty. Some bourbon barrel flavours. Sweet porty tones.
