Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours a pale golden color with a thin fizzy white head that evaporates quickly to a film. Spotty lacing. Aroma of floral hops and sweet malt. Light body with flavors of grassy hops, bready malt and fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a short herbal hops aftertaste. Average overall.

Draft: Poured a light golden color ale with a small foamy head with light retention. Aroma consists of light semi-sweet cereal with very subtle notes. Taste is a mix between some floral malt with light notes of cereal. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not lemon notes were noticeable and taste is kind of middle of the road blonde ale.

Tap at Governors Island Brewfest. Good beer. Poured light yellow, pretty clear, with a soft, white head. Nose of light fruit and spice, with hints of malt and hops. Fairly sweet flavor with flourishes of lemon and spice, and a mild hop bite on the tail to lend the beer a crisp conclusion. Light to medium in body and well carbonated. Good take on the Summer Beer style.

A blonde ale with a very thin white head. Again, a very german charcter, in terms of hops and light caramel notes. In mouth, a very crisp and grainy malt, good german hops...a german pils on steroids, well balanced...where’s the lemon...On tap at brewpub, July 31, 2009.
