From Sep 2007
From my notes of July 29, 2007
The pour showed me a deep gold with a 2 finger head of foam that lasted a long time.
The smell was delicate but I did get some hoppiness, mostly grass.
The taste had grassy hops up front but they were on the mild side. Midway through, some caramel malt showed up to balance the hops and I noticed some nutty tones. The finish leans toward the bitter side with some grapefruit. Nice but very smooth. Maybe just a tad too smooth.
Bottom line: Not overly exciting for an IPA but if you're looking for a smooth drinker, by all means give this one a try.

8th October 2008. On draught at the Wynkoop brewpub. Hazy amber beer. Unusual IPA. Very dry with bitter grapefruit but also a sweet banana tone!

Cask at the brewpub - fairly sweet IPA, with a lot of grapefruit-ish hop character that starts to get a little soapy the more you drink it - some diacetyl is covered up by the fairly strong hop profile - some toasted grain and even a touch of vanilla - meh.

An amber ale with a very thin white head. A pleasant yet subdued c-hops, pinhey with citrus notes. In mouth, a rather light and unimpressive IPA, watery, lacking oomph. On tap at brewpub, 24 Jan. 2009.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a hazy light orange color with a medium thin light beige head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Citrusy hops aroma with notes of malt and other fruits. Medium-bodied with leafy hops, malt and citrus flavors. The finish is moderately hoppy with a lingering bitter aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Draft. A pale golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with fruity notes primarily of citrus fruits. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of citrus, leading to a dry grassy and lemony finish.
