On tap at Søgaards. A mostly clear, it seems, dark brown beer with a small off-white head. The aroma has some roasted malts, but dark dried fruit dominates. Some caramel and burnt malts. It's full to medium bodied, softly carbonated and a mostly on the dry side. Quite a lot of residual sweetness though. Caramel and roasted malts in the flavor, but mostly it's raisin and dried figs. A bit more burnt in the finish. 221220

Backlog January 2017. Clear, deep amber – almost black body under a small, beige head. Aroma has dark malt and chocolate. Taste is medium sweet, dark malt, moderate roasted and moderate bitterness. Thin body and short in aftertaste. Drinkable but rather plain and uninspired.

Tap @ Søgaards Bryghus. Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Flavor is medium sweet, moderate bitter and light sour. Dry, moderate bitter and light sour finish. A shame with the sour note in what was otherwise a promising porter. 110317
