We’re based on a working farm here at Braybrooke; every year we celebrate the harvest with a festival, and we brewed this Festbier especially for the occasion.Based on the classic Märzen served at Oktoberfest for nearly a century, our version is a celebration of malt: juicy, rich, with notes of freshly baked bread and marzipan. We added just enough hops to balance out the malt and keep it from being too sweet, and slowly matured it over 45 days. Pair it with roast pork.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Premier Hop. Pours clear honey-gold with a frothy, white head. Lovely stuff, clean biscuity malts, sun-kissed grains, a hint of caramel, bread, low bitterness. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Subtle leafy bitterness in the finish, more biscuity malts, straw, grass, husky grain. Delicious.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from All Good Beer HD. Pours clear burnt honey-gold with a frothy, mostly white head. Nicely sweet and malty, with nips of toasted biscuits, caramel, golden raisins. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Further prominent malt expression to finish, a little sun-kissed honey, toasted caramel, more bready notes. Very tasty.
