440ml can from The Misty Bottle, Skye - clear auburn body, white head. Nutty malt and caramel vibe, chestnuts, citrus, bit of resin, pine, orange peel. Okay stuff.

Can from Marshall's farm shop. It pours clear deep reddish brown with a decent, fluffy white head. The aroma is rich, sappy, resinous, varnished wood, spicy, brown bread, nuttiness avd some fruit cake. The taste is firmly dry, nice decent hit of bitterness which builds and lingers, rather spicy, nutty, brown bread, toasted fruit cake, resinous, sappy, varnished wood, hint of grass and floral accents with a drying, bitter spicy finish. Medium body and moderate, massaging carbonation. Rather enjoyable stuff.

Wetherspoon Autumn Beer Festival 2019. Cask @ Paramount, Manchester. Deeper clear golden with a creamy head. It has a mild scotch-malty influence to a fuller hoppy ale in the main.

Cask at the Hope Tap, Reading. Amber with a thick beige head. Spicy up front with some toffee and a hint of marzipan. Crackly autumn leaves, a touch of orange and a slightly dry finish. Decent stuff. Oddly this is officially my first rye beer according to Ratebeer even though I've had loads before - Joet and co really need to get the auto style reallocation done!
