On keg at the Shilling Brewery Taproom. Appearance - black with a thick beige head. Nose - dark chocolate, burnt toast and vanilla. Wood and light booze. Taste - whisky and wood. Mainly dark chocolate. Palate - full bodied, boozy and woody with light roast. Overall - good.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2019 - Hackney. Pours black-brown with a foamy, khaki head. Rich, with hearty ashy roast, baking cocoa, charred caramel. Medium to full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Lightly oily, too. Subtly warming finish, with some scorched earth, bittersweet cocoa. Good stuff.

Cask at pigs ear 2019. A jet black coloured pour with a a loose tan head. Aroma is woody meaty roast, salt, bark, hint of vanilla. Flavour is composed of dark meaty roast, wood, spey side whiskey, oak, jammy fruits. Palate is thick, chewy, oily, velvety. Good bold stuff.
