Flaska från BiaB, från 2017. Svart med fluffig, stor beige krona. Fin arom av saltkaramell, bourbon, vanilj, mocca, choklad och en lätt rågsyrlig ton. Lätt till mellanstor kropp, torr. Förvånansvärt rostad, kärv och torr i smaken med låg sötma. Bourbon, vanilj, saltkaramell och fudgen finns även här, men mer integrerad i bakgrunden i förhållande till de rostade toner. Drar kanske iväg lite väl med torrheten. Funkar väl ok, men inte det jag förväntade mig av denna öl. Nästan lite tjärpastill och en något rökig ton i eftersmaken.

Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Tangy dark chocolate malts. Mild bourbon and coke. Tangy dark fruits. This was a mild gusher and that is reflected in the taste. Little salted caramel buried in the dark chocolate malts. Not bad.

Sampled @ BXL Beerfest 2018. A black beer with a small tan head. Aroma of sweet dark strong malt, liquorice, some oak. Taste of dark strong sweet malt, coffee chocolate, some liquorice.

7 3 7 3 13Draft at BXL Beerfest ‘18, Brussels. Black with a beige head. Aroma of roast, licorice, overripe dark fruits, alcohol and dark malts. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with light sourness. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

0,15l taster at BXLBeerfest. black color, small coffee colored head. smells earthy, spices, peppery, bitter chocolate, very nice and subtle smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes earthy, lactic, bit peppery, some bourbon, booze, light caramel, molasses. finishes lightly roastby bitter with notes of earth, lactose and some boozy notes. nice one but tastes a bit off, almost a bit too much carbonation. 8, 4, 7, 3, 15

Bottle from Belgian Beer Shop, Leuven. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, wood and bourbon. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. Oily. 230718
