Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. A golden amber pour with a thin white head; weak malty aroma; sweet caramel taste with a malty body; then a drier caramel biscuit finish. A rather elegant malt-lead bitter, but not especially christmasy.

Cask @ Titus Salt, Bradford. Copper with a small frothy head. A light malty session bitter not too in keeping with its Christmas special tag.

Cask@BeerHunters, Pori. Copperish brown colour, smalloff white head, which lasts for quite a while. Aroma is flowery hops and slight fruity notes. Flavour is flowery hops, fruits, slight caramel, hay and some honey. Also some weird flavour I really can’t describe too well, but it is to the sweeter side. .

Cask@Beer Hunters, Pori
Amber brown color, decent firm off-white head. Flowery hoppy nose. Faint body, starts quite weak and slightly sweet. Then moderate bitterness rises in the aftertaste. Underlying sugars or honey there too (not diacetyl, like some other ratings claim). Ok session beer, but not very XMasy though.

Cask gravity at Pig’s Ear. Amber colour, no head. Good aroma on this with some toast. Bit of diacetyl maybe. Bit medicinal. Needs better hop.
