Bottle from House of Trembling Madness. Clear amber with a brief fizzy head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is very malty with roast, chocolate and nuts. Tastes pretty good to be fair, has a moreish slightly rich malt profile with notes as per aroma, some fruit, and a nice leafy bitterness in the finish. Light body but a nice zingy carbonation. Flawed but fairly tasty.

Cask at the Cornfield Garage, Eastbourne. Poured a clear medium to dark amber colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is yeasty, light woody hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, light yeasty, nutty, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask pint in my local Spoons on 13th December 2024 after watching 'Wicked' in the Orbit, my local cinema. Amber body, off white head. Malty front, thought there might be some Winter spices within, but this is just a basic Bitter, it's fine but not really a Christmas brew in my eyes.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours crystal clear copper-gold with a creamy, off-white head. Light sweet flavour with notes of lightly toasted biscuits, subtle berry accents, British yeast, soft leafy hops. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Tidy finish, well balanced, soft leafy bitterness, moreish malty character, mellow fruity notes. Nice bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the V Shed (JDW), Bristol 5/12/2022. Pale amber in colour, with a lacy, off-white, head. Biscuity malts, leafy hops, red berry sweetness and a moderately bitter finish. Good.

Cask pint at Wetherspoons, London Victoria Station. Cloudy orange-brownish colour, low off-white head. Very moderate aroma, a little malts, a hint of butter. Minimal carbonation, poor condition. Initially dull flavour, quite dry. Some earthy hops in the finish cannot save the beer from falling in the "boring" category. Daleside can do better than this - and JDW should serve their beers in better condition. Could not finish the pint.

Cask at The Gordon Highlander. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The aroma is malt - drive, white bread, rich tea biscuits, grass, straw, floral, cracker and muffin. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, white bread, cake, muffin, straw, honeysuckle and some grass with a firmly dry finish. Light - medium body and fine, massaging carbonation. Decent enough golden - bitter. Drinkable enough, if a touch unexciting.
