Can from Cornelius. Pours dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of light roast, liquorice. Taste is quite hoppy, then roast, coffee and liquorice again. Light bitter finish.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours jet black with a handsome tan head. The aroma is rich dark roasted malt, umami, espresso coffee, dark chocolate, dark chocolate, cacao nibs, umami, salty liquorice and some malt loaf. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, dark roast coffee, cacao, dark chocolate, umami, salted liquorice, just a touch of dried/dark fruits, malt loaf, touch of charred roast and just a touch of spice with a toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Great stuff. Flavourful and very balanced. Not big and showed, just well done and very drinkable.
