A rich, smooth Stout named after the characterful, black-tarred fishing huts that line Southwold's harbour

Keg at the Pint Shop, Oxford, 03/11/17. Light black with a decent tan head. Nose is mellow roast, earthy, tobacco, dried fruits, toffee. Taste comprises light cocoa powder, leather, charr, fruit cake, toffee, mellow roast. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Passable stout.

Draught @ Trafford Arms, 61 Grove Road, Norwich, Norfolk, England NR1 3RL. [ As Adnams Blackshore Stout ].Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, dark malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, caramel, roasted, sweet malt, light coffee. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. On keg at Blakes in Dover. Black beer lasting tan head. Roast malt some fruit. A little juicy fruit. Blackcurrant. Thin body. Ok .

Half pint on keg at Ivory Peg (JDW) . Nitro, light brownish head blanketing the glass. Near black body. Nose is dark bread. Roasted malty flavours with hints of chocolate. Silky in the mouth. Nice and far from diluted in any way (Chelmsford 19.02.2017).

Keg @ Hospital Arms, Colchester. Nice creamy head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, little vanilla, caramel and hops. Smooth finish.

Transparent black color with a nice creamy tan head. Looks good. Moderate intensity in the aroma. Medium (-) body and a soft carbonation level. Decent sweetness and a moderate bitterness. Coffee, some roast and mild licorice in the flavor.

Benchmark milk stout with excellent lacing. Nitro pour works well. Just far too cold.

Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus, 4.2%. Almost black with medium beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, caramel, hop and liquorice. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, caramel, liquroice, medium sweet, hop and medium bitter.

Draught @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Pours black with a creamy light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, light licorice, dark chocolate. Flavor is roast malt, coffee, dark chocolate, a hint of licorice. Thin to medium body, average carbonation, dry finish. 120316
