Aged in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels, this most peculiar of lager styles has been made with one thing in mind; opulent weekends in front of the fire. Or a Tuesday. The choice is yours.
It's taken a year to make it, so take time to drink it.

Dark black pour with a tan head; aromas of cream/milk, cocoa, oak, caramel, malt; tastes of cream, dark and milk chocolate, light coffe, some bourbon from the cask, oak, hint of red wine, long and pleasant aftertase. This is very good stuff.

Cask at the Bow Bar. Man, it's good to be back! Pours dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of bourbon, booze, chocolate liqueurs. Taste is boozy, maybe a little thin. Not my bag.

750ml bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours darkest brown to black with a decent tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, chocolate covered coffee beans, bourbon soaked oak, umami, liquorice, oily, toffee and fudge. The taste is slick, smooth, bitter - sweet, thick chocolate vibes, gateaux, coffee, vanilla fudge, toffee, bourbon, dark chocolate, some warming alcohol, peppery spice, umami, liquorice, dried fruits, toasted fruit cake and a touch of char with a smooth, bitter - sweet finish. Medium to fulsome body and moderate carbonation. Bourbon BA works really well with the base beer. A balanced and moreish number.
