Hand pulled half pint in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks on 29th October 2025. Almost black bodied, beige crown on top. Yip, can taste the Parkin, chocolate and ginger coming through without it being sickly or sticky in nature. Wasn't sure if I'd like it, I did!

Gravity cask from the Real Ale Classroom, Leicester. Confession: I'm not 100% sure what parkin is. Well I guess I'll find out... mid-brown, translucent with a ring of loose beige head. Smells of cinnamon, Clive and lots of crystallised ginger. Hmmmm. Not normally a fan of ginger beers. This one however tastes amazing, with a sweet matinées giving some foundation to the intense spicy ginger. Long finish with even more ginger. Sadly the body is really watery and flat which let's it down somewhat. Overall pretty lovely though.

Cask at ORB, Darlington. Pours black with a tight beige head. Aromas of chocolate and ginger. Taste is similar, with a little smoke and raisin. Light sweet & spicy finish. Enjoyed this.

Bottle. Bier Huis, Ossett. Deep cola brown. Thin and lasting, semi lacing, beige head. Nose has Easter egg chocolate. Ginger. Taste is fairly sweet. A little dry. Thin mouthfeel. Medium carbonation. Non existent finish. Wow. Pretty poor.
