The biggest gush I’ve ever had from a single bottle. 330ml poured into 2.5 pint glasses. Nose is yeast, some caramel, slightly floral but mostly yeast. Taste is big caramel lightly floral, hazel nut, very sweet, yeast, light hop bite in the finish. At first not as bad as I feared when I saw it coming out of the bottle, but quickly all that can be tasted is yeast, soap and caramel. The last third went down the sink.

Pigs Ear Day 4. Cask. Hazy gold beer, residual pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Tangy pale malts, a bit too tangy. Orange peel, bitterish, some pith. Ripe orange. Tastes a bit bruised.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2015 - London. Pours clear, rich gold with a creamy, white head. Light dried citrus in the nose, twigs, pale grains. Light sweet flavor with nips of apples, more grains, aggressive grassy bitterness, orange rind. Light bodied with fine carbonation; OK condition. Harsh grassy bitter finish, with notes of grain husk as well. Not great.

Cask at Pigs Ear, 2015. Gold pour with a white head. Tangerine and marmalade aroma. More tangerine in the flavour, quite a soft fruit zing. So-so.

Taste comprises bready malts, caramel, light spice, straw. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with light bitterness. Forgettable.
