A classic German-style helles lager. Light in colour, rounded and full bodied, with soft, bready malt and a touch of sweetness. Refreshing the parts even He can’t reach.

Can from the Lancashire Bottle Shop. Pours clear pale gold with a thick white head. Light biscuit and light floral hops on the nose. Taste is light grassy bitter and faint sweet malt. Finish is a little sweet for me.

On tap at Redwillow Tap, Buxton, Derbyshire in the company of Dad and Pauline Saturday 17th February 2018 Pours gold, superb clarity with a slim white head, looks great. A good Helles, dry a little flinty, not much sweetness, a touch of mineral and a metallic edge. Very good. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Keg @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Golden-amber with a very thin head. Crisp but somewhat bland in texture and taste, with a dryness to the former.
