Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Bottle Apostle, South Hackney. Pours lightly hazed yellow-gold with a lasting, frothy white head. Lightly sweet with cleansing pale pine bitterness, crisp pale malt structure, some semi-ripe citrus fruit. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderate bitterness in the finish, notes of grass and pine, pithy grapefruit, subtle minerality, lemon rind. Excellent.

Bottle from Cork & Cask. Hazy golden body with a thick white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of lemon jelly and pine needles. Flavour of grapefruit and bitter lemon on the finish. Thin to medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Pithy and sharp. It’s fine but a bit raw by Kernel’s standards.
