Opaque dark brown beer, big fluffy pale tan head. Palate is airy and dry, reasonable carbonation. Dry dark malts, a little earthy and with a touch of dark chocolate. Very light cherry. Light dry finish. Lacks depth and fruity punch.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from the London Brewers’ Market. Pours deep brown with a billowing, frothy khaki head; the beer is seriously over-carbonated. Nice aroma, with moderate roasted malts laced with subtly tangy cherry and cocoa. Light-medium sweet flavour with continuing pleasant roasted malt character, bittersweet chocolate, some scorched earth, more tangy cherries, raisins, ripening berries. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Nicely balanced on the finish, with more cherry and chocolate, sturdy roast, earthy bitterness, a little tobacco and ash. Nice integration overall. Without the excess carbonation this would be a notch better.
