Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style M2A). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 21083061 (BBF unknown). AROMA: medium-low honey aroma with faint flowery notes, faint citrus esters, slight clove and pepper spice-like notes. medium-high alcohol notes. APPEARANCE: deep gold color and translucent with thinly particles in suspension. low white head with low to no retention. TASTE: initial medium-low to low honey notes, faintly floral notes. low yeasty presence in the background. slight acidic note. dry finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-light to light body. medium-low carbonation. medium-high alcoholic warmth. OVERALL: a semi-sweet mead more attenuated that should be and with some distracting tasting flaws.

33 cl bottle served in frozen pitcher at Mercado Municipal, Rota. Pours palest golden, no bubbles, no head. Aroma is very low: some honey, brine, alcohol vinegar, wheat flour. Taste is sweetish, watery, mild-bodied. Low lingering, just some hints of moist bread and poor, cheap white wine. Bad.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks Stas. Slightly hazy pale yellow. Fruitiness, funk, a bit of honey, some vegetables, apple cider, sweetish-sourish, a bit of alcohol.
