Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours hazy reddish - brown with a frothy beige head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, malt-driven, varnished wood, brown bread, resin, some dried fruits, cacao and toffee. The taste is firmly dry, bitter, underlying sweetness, resin, wood, varnish, nutty, cacao, dried fruits, fruit & nut chocolate, burnt toast, brown bread, baked goods and touch of spice with a drying, toasty finish. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. A decent enough malt-driven affair.
