Cask & bottle conditioned. Special 2008.
A robust bitter with a golden autumnal colour. Target and Challenger hops are combined to produce this full flavoured ale with a well rounded aroma.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Amber with a thin white head and a light fizz. Toffee, vague fruitiness, some wood. A standard bitter that tastes OK but that got a bit dull by the end.

From tap at S. Fowler & Co., Ryde, Isle of Wight, 05.01.19. Clear dark golden. Diminishing white head. Aroma and taste of sweet crystal malt balanced by some hop bitterness. A bit bland.

From cask. Pours almost clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild citrusy and malty flavour is the same and somewhat smooth and dry. Spiced and light malty. Towards breadish.

Cask. Good citric hop aroma. Hazy amber colour. No head. Good hop flavour, grassy, citric and refreshing. A bit too flat, the cask could have been kept better.
