Cask-conditioned at the Cornubia, Bristol 8/1/2020. Near black in colour, with a frothy, off-white, head. Caramel, milk chocolate, a touch liquorice, some leafy hops, leading to a toasty, rich, finish. Good.

Cask Gravity at Pig’s Ear 2015. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The nose is toasty, sweet roast, umami, earth and salted liquorice. The taste is toasty, bitter-sweet, umami, salted liquorice and toasted sesame with a short, dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Perhaps a touch too savoury. Not a whole lot to it. OK.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2015, day 1 - London. Pours clear brown with a creamy, off-white head. Decent dark malt character, some dried berries, other leathery fruits, subtle earth. Light bodied with fine carbonation; pretty good condition. OK balance on the finish, some sweet bready malts, more dried out fruits, berries. Tasty beer.
