Julig smak, balanserad mellan sötma och beska trots att den är dubbelhumlad. ?

750ml bottle courtesy of Anndiesel. Hazy orange-brown, thin beige head. Sweet vanilla amber aroma. Sweet and sugary, rather mild and mellow carbonation. Somewhat watery for the style, simple and subdued. Funky Belgian yeast goes a long way in carrying this one. Straightforward and enjoyable, but rather insipid compared to it’s peers.

750 ml corked and caged bottle into tumbler. Pours a murky toilet water brown with a small fast-collapsing head; leaves a ring of foam. Aroma is a little phenolic with some overripe fruit thrown in; there’s a hint of vanilla, too. Taste is...odd. It’s lightly sweet with no bitter or sour notes; grainy. Carbonation is too low, has a thin body. Finish is abrubt. Not very good. I think it may be past its prime.

Bottle: Poured a deep copper color ale with a medium size foamy head with average retention and some lacing. Aroma of lightly fruity ester with some sweet Belgian malt. Taste is also dominated by some lightly sweet Belgian malt with some subtle fruity ester. Body is about average with good carbonation and no signs of alcohol. Not sweet enough for the style with body too watery and lacking character makes this a quite boring beer.

Pours deep gold into a snifter. Bright white micro head with good retention leaves slowly recedes to skim surface. Pit fruit aromas. Thick biscuit and alcohol from front to back with a lasting fruity finish.

Pear aroma, slightly musty, very coppery. Muddy ochre brown, thick golden head, and sheets of carbonation that rise to the top of the glass. Initial horehound and rotten apple jab that disintegrates into tar and charcoal. Musty od finish.

Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with a tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of butter, spices, and a sharp citrus note. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of spices, herbs, and berries. Besides the sweetness, there’s also a slight acidic note. The body is thin and the finish has some herbal notes lingering.

Bottle: Murky pour of mahoghany and ruby with a large beige head. Nose is fruity and spicey. Tastes sweet with citrus, caramel, and cinnamon. A little yeast and a tiny chocolate sensation. Good.

(Bottle 75 cl) Pours a clear, nutty brown with a beige head. Aroma of overripe fruit. Medium body, sweetish malt and fruit and some roastiness. There’s a vague fusty edge in there - could be the cork. The bitterness is quite subdued. 230407
