Cask at Wellington Arms, half pint shared with Finn. Tiny, bubbly white head, clear dark golden body, lacing rings down the glass. A bit restrained smell of cereal malts and herbal hops. Decent taste character of ripe citrus, earth, and grain. Mid-dry, bittersweet finish. Pretty fair. (Bedford 18.11.2021).

Handpull cask at the White Lion, Baldock. Deep gold with a tiny bit of white head. Sulphurous smell with a touch of light citrus. Tastes considerably better than it smells: it’s got a bittersweet taste with some grassy hop in the finish. Long bittersweet finish. It’s not bad.
