1st December 2015
Pigs Ear Day 1. Cask. Hazy deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light, fairly dry and has modest fine carbonation. Lots of tang in this one, especially the tangy dark fruits, prunes notable. Light semi dry finish. Tangy fruits linger on. One of the better milds here today.

Cask gravity at Pig’s Ear 2015. It pours lightly hazy deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is bitter-sweet, toasty, blackcurrant jam, Dandelion & Burdock and Eccles cake. The taste is toasty, bitter, spicy, earthy roast, oily, rocky road and some burnt dark sugar. Medium body and soft carbonation. Simple toasty and fruity ale. OK.
