Pigs Ear Day 4. Cask. Clear deep brown - amber beer, a few pale tan bubbles. Palate is light and semi dry, modest carbonation. Thin tangy dark mals. Some ripe fruits. Light finish. Just another stout! Yawn!

Cask at Pigs Ear 2015 - London. Pours clear, deep red-brown with a bubbly, off-white head. Some apple notes on the nose, lightly toasted malts, earth. Light sweet flavor with more apple, apple sauce, light leather, berries. Light bodied with fine carbonation; so so condition. Lightly drying on the finish, with some ripe apples, lightly toasted malts. Pretty mediocre.

One-third pint measure, cask ale at Jacobs Beer House in Bradford. Creamy, fawn-coloured head to a near black body. Smell of dark dough. Taste of bread, milk chocolate with a backdrop of dried fruits. Slightly roasted bitterness to the finish. Medium bodied. Satisfying (08.07.2015).
