Bottle that I picked up from Dranken Geers, Oostakker nr Ghent, Belgium. Consumed at Daves, Unterhanching, München with the Ratebeer Munich Tasting group, Wednesday 7th August 2019. Aroma is a touch of Worcester Sauce, roasty, some tart chocolate and a little cherry. It's a bit thrown together, not bad but not great either.

Bottle. Dark black color with beige head. Aroma is cognac, chocolate, on the sweet side. Taste is cognac, chocolate, roast, sweet stuff. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Fun, but a bit messy.

Black black color, thin head. Sweet soy aroma, flavor follows through quite cloying sweet overall. A bit of roasted flavor, but the sweet soy overpowers the rest.

Bottle, 11.8%. Very dark brown with tiny brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, dark chocolate, barrel and caramel. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, dark fruit, barrel, dark chocolate, sweet, warming, cognac, wood and medium bitter.

'Imperial milk stout' aged on cognac barrels, from tap at Dok Brewing Company, Ghent. Thanks Steve for sharing. Creamy, mocha beige, mousy head lacing in shreds over a jet black beer. Aroma of lots of melting 'fondant' chocolate, kahlua, soy sauce, brandy indeed, beef stock, toffee, bayleaf, fresh paint and other solventy effects. Sweetish onset but not too sweet, hints of dried fig and raisin with a beef stock-like umami accent and 'deep' sourish undertone; softish carbonation, soft, thickly oily, very full body. Walnutty and bitter-chocolatey malt body, restrained in sweetness with a pronounced, chicory-like roastiness, bitter and a bit earthy, drenched in very boozy cognac in the end, heating the back of the mouth; some drying tannins, light spicy notes and lingering earthy-nutty-chocolatey malt bittersweetness. Bit solventy and too boozy even for a near-12% ABV stout, but with some finetuning, this may potentially attain a more than regional quality standard.

Botella 37.5 CL en Cimmeria 27.. 04.. 2019. Color negro intenso con espuma beige oscuro que desaparece al poco tiempo casi por completo. Sabores maltosos tostados con toques alicorados de vinos viejos y maderas empapadas en licor. Se deja notar el envejecimiento de cognac. Ligeros cafés tostados y muy suaves lactosas. Cuerpo medio fácil de beber, se esperaba algo más de densidad. Buena sensación alcohólica desde el principio alicorada. Buena, para repetir.

Botella @Cimmeria, Oviedo 27/04/2019 Color negro opaco corona de espuma escasa, aromas a tostados, madera, licorosos, sabor tostado, café cuerpo ligero.
