Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Amber with an off-white head. Nice crisp malty ale with grapefruit overtones and just a touch of spice. Just the right amount of bitterness in the clean finish. Unusually good stuff for a brewer that I'm not normally a fan of.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A pale amber pour with a tight cream coloured head; lemon soda aroma; quite sharp in the mouth with some lemon zest and spice; then a very dry lightly spiced finish. Odd, but strangely satisfying.
