Cask at the Miles Thompson (JDW), Kendal. Golden -amber with a middling off-white head. Caramel with hints of lemon. Sweetish and smooth with a mild bitterness at the end. One of those bitters that goes down a treat as the first beer at the end of a tough days - barely touched the sides and yet is strangely satisfying despite being fairly unremarkable. This performs that first beer of the night role pretty well.

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading.] A pale amber pour with a tight white head; malty aroma; malty taste with some jammy fruit; and some bitter citrus pith and caramel to finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 3/10/2022. Amber in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Caramel and ripe malt sweetness, with a touch of leafy hop and moderately bitter finish. Fine.
