Keg at the Smithfield Market Tavern, MCR, 17/05/2025.
Golden blonde topped with an off white cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is pale and bready malts, herb, straw, grains.
Taste comprises corn husk, pale malts, cereals, grains.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Passable Helles ... not one I'd likely revisit though.

Keg @ Smithfield Market Tavern, Manchester. Golden with a very thin head. Not quite your typical taste of a helles that you might find in Germany, but this mildly floral-infused effort is very tasty.

Keg at Smithfield Tavern, Manchester. Pours clear gold with a white cap. Quite clean. Very sweet for the style, bread, a little caramel, grassy. Light to medium body with spritzy carbonation.

Keg at Jack in the Box at Mackie Mayor, Manchester. Clear gold with a white head and a light fizz. A little butter, plenty of grassy hop and some caramel. It's ok, but I'd have liked it to be a little crisper on the finish.
