Cask at the The Reliance, Leeds. Pours clear dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, light roast, mint. Taste is chewy, some mint, mostly chocolate. Thin finish.

On tap at North Bar, pours dark brown / near-black with a small tan head. Nose is fairly minty, along with roasted malt and cocoa. Flavour doesn't bring out much mint, just the roasted malt and maybe some coffee grinds. Fairly weak stuff, but certainly nothing offensive about this. Okay.

Craft Covent Garden. Cask. Almost opaque dark brown beer, smal pale tan head. Palate is light and a little soft. Fine carbonation. Sweetish dark malts with well integrated sweet mint. Touch of dark fruits adds another dimension. Finishes smooth with a whisper of ester. The mint just makes this slip down easy.

Cask at the Wenlock Arms, 28/05/14. Black with a moderate tan covering that thins to a swirl. Nose is roast malt, mint well evident, liqourice, spice, dark chocolate. Taste comprises After Eight Mints, aniseed, leather, dark chocolate, root liqourice, minty tones, light roast. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, minty tones in a choco roasted close. Decent enough fayre, not a mint overload and delivers its intended statement. Decent.

Cask @ White Hart, Todmorden. Black with an off-white creamy head. Strong with a high sweet aroma. It’s more of a sweet stout than a milk one in taste, but creamy enough in its texture.
