Bottle shared at Bruce’s. It pours hazy amber with a thick beige head. The nose is fresh, bready, earth, orange sponge, dirt, light spice and candied peel. The taste is crisp, bitter, earthy, toast, orange sponge cake, bready, light spice, citrus peel and a touch of alcohol. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Alcohol and bitterness saves it fro being too sweet. Grade A bock of the double.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Slightly hazy ruby body with a medium off-white head. Excellent lacing. Aroma of toffee, strawberry syrup and dusty yeast. Flavour of dried apricot, peach, candy and caramel. Sweet but not cloying. Medium body with an oily texture. Lively fizz. Incredibly clean and drinkable for the ABV. A beautiful beer - one of Luckie Ales’ finest.
