Cask @ March Hare, Dunton. Amber colour with very little head. Moderate lacing. Aroma of orange blossom honey and crystal malt. Taste: wow. This is a lot like pre-Coors Doom Bar: a fruity, woody sweetness turning drier to a bitter finish. Lipsmackingly good.

Cask at the hope & anchor, tenby. Pours pale yellow with small white head. Slight biscuit on the nose. No hop aroma discernible. Taste is ok, light bitter, light sweet. Light carbonation. Wish I’d only got a half.

Cask @ Mash Tun, Edinburgh [220513]
Amber, clear, frothy bubbly white head, good frothy lacing
Aroms of soft caramel, light hedgerow hops, light fruits
Taste of caramel malts, light fruits, some earthy bitter hops, bitter grains
Palate - Light to medium body, quite oily. Finish - quite bitter earthy linger
Overall - Better than the average ’boring brown bitter’ but a bit over harsh bitter though

[Cask at the Belle Vue, High Wycombe] Amber with a moderate white head. Lots of lemon with a little earthy bitterness. Nice resinous mouthfeel. Decent, crisp bitter. Nice and thirst-quenching.
