A pure English-style beer, produced in collaboration with the London brewery Anspach & Hobday. Strongly characterized by the typical floral and earthy aromas of Fuggle and Challenger hops, it offers the subtle toasted notes provided by the traditional Maris Otter pale ale malt, which helps to balance the unobtrusive alcohol content.

Wenig karbonisierter, bitter grasiger Antrunk.

Keg at A&H - London. Pours mostly clear gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds some ripening citrus, orange, pale bread, a bit of crust, pale grains. Light to medium sweet flavour with touches of pine, ple bready malts, rindy citrus, light grass. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Pretty well balanced on the finish, with more citrus, mellow grassy bitterness, dry pale grains. Solid. Drinks good.

Brewdog Shoreditch. Keg. Light haze on this yellowish gold beer, thin white head. Palate is light, mildly dry and has a good fine crispness. Clean pale malts, modestly sweet. Floral hops dominate, a little bitter. Underneath orange, lemon and grapefruit citrus. Crispy bitter finish. Clean and very drinkable.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgie consumed at Frank (camper) Hans Memling campsite, Brugge, Saturday, 18th June 2016 Hazy light amber with a slim white head. As expected the hops are a little tame and safe, not sure how many they used but you get the impression that regardless even if you put in a vast amount it was only going to make an earthy, hedgerow hoppy beer more earthy and hedgerowy, you’d be pulling brambles and soil out from between your teeth. It’s fine but completely unremarkable. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Pale blond and clear. Although relatively muted in flavour it’s fresh and well balanced with a dry finish.
