Cask (gravity) @ 32th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2015, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England. [ As Hop Back Placketts Mild ].Clear medium to dark red brown color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, roasted, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, dark malt, sweet malt, roasted, milk chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20151201] 6-3-6-3-12

1st December 2015
Pigs Ear Day 1. Cask. Almost clear amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Thin dark malts, mildly tangy. Little dark fruits. Fairly dry finish. Tangy fruity linger. Standard stuff but fine.

Gravity at Pigs Ear ’15, 01/12/15. Chestnut brown with a moderate beige cap. Nose is papery, tar, light dark berry fruit, thin overall. Taste comprises leather, light fruit, cardboard, brown bread. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. So so affair, pretty thin all round.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2015 Day 1 - London. Pours clear brown with reddish highlights and a frothy off-white head. The nose has light ashy roast, cocoa, earth. Light sweet flavor with more ashy roast, dried leathery berries, slight leaves. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry and lightly ashy in the finish, mellow cocoa, leather. OK.
