Very hazy deep orange and glowing copper coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall off-white head that stays afloat nicely and leaves a thick lace on the sides, all above the 85 per cent opaque body. Aroma of white grape juice, alcohol, metal, a bit of malt and a bunch of herbal and resin notes. Medium to Full-bodied; Very rich deep and pretty astringent malt notes show at first with a slight dose of citrus fruits, grapefruit and flowers at the end, but the alcohol is here as well and warms up the finish nicely. Aftertaste is crisp, very robust, quite bitter from the hops, but also very complex - enjoyable throughout and balanced nicely with malt, hops (of course) and sugars, too. Overall, a 'real' Imperial IPA that hits the marks nicely throughout and brings bitterness from the hops, with a bunch of malts, fruit notes and finishes with both some sugar and alcohol burn - nice from SixPoint and recommended if you can find it! I sampled this thin, twelve ounce can, purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria (Potomac Yard), Virginia on 29-November-2021 for US$2,79, with a 'best by' date of 27-March-2022 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 23-May-2022.

A tall, skinny 12 oz can bought last month at Total Wine in Ft. Worth, time is right to sample. I am mostly a fan of Sixpoint even though their emphasis on ipas is not shared by me. The can says IIPA, no argument from me. A tulip glass is handling all the tastings tonight, not a problem. I determine a cloudy, lemon-orange body topped by a thin top of totally white foam. The smell is slightly dank, citrus and tropical. I take a drink, certainly a strong presence of hops, pineapple, grapefruit, straw and white bread. A throwback bitterness to go with the fruitiness. Pretty good imo. And I do like the cool can.

12 oz skinny can from Colleen, thanks! Consumed 12/18/21. Best by March 22, 2022. Murky orange color, white head, strong lace. Dank, pine, resin, grapefruit. Pretty much everything you'd expect. Drinks a little boozy. Solid overall.

12 ounce can. Hazy medium gold pour. Frothy white head leaves behind nice clinging lace. Dank citrus hop aroma. First sip brings bittersweet citrus. Grapefruit, tart orange and stone fruit notes. Warming alcohol in middle. Resiny pine hops in finish. Intense hops throughout. Well done.

Dangerously good monster IPA, full of mango, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon zest, and pine, backed up by a caramel-dusted grainy sweetness and a warm, boozy finish. No hiding the ABV, but who cares. This pint is delicious.

Can. Pretty good hazy imperial ipa. A little hard to mask 9.8%, but overall pretty solid.
