On tap at Hops & Barley, Berlin, shared with Schieder and Fates11. Hazy dark golden, medium off-white head. Malty aroma, lightly caramely, lightly toasty and very light earthy hops. Sweet bready and toasty flavour, good balance. Medium body, soft to moderate carbonation, minimal bitterness, light finish.

Sampled as Hops & Barley Bernstein, 5.2%, 30 IBU Draught Good, dense, light-cream head over finely carbonated, clear orange-amber beer. Very fresh malts, like just-hopped worts, as drinking from the lagertank. Lightly roasted chestnuts, toasted malts. Dry, breadcrust. Light to medium bodied, feels better carbonated than it looks, some slickness. Nice!

Buddel (Dank nach Zehlendorf!): Hazy, light copper coloured, stable and lacy creamy white head, mild to moderate sweetish bitter aroma of malt with a brown-bready and caramelly touch, inoffensive - but well detectable - herbal hops in the background; mild to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied and really soft; chalky traces in the caramelly and herbal finish. Another goody from Friedrichshain...

On tap at Hops & Barley, pours a hazy amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt and a hint of caramel. Flavour is fairly malty, with bready malt, toasted caramel, and cereal malt. Quite malty yet not too sweet. Pleasant amber.

Tap on location. Clear deep Amber, creamy head. Honey nose, honey and melanoidin base, sweet but dry, light spice and mineral, hay funk, ok bitter counterpoint. Very nice, this is the way the style should be done.

Fra fat på bryggeripuben 14 Jan 18. Delt med Rune. Amber. Filmskum. Aroma av plommer & fersken. Smaken litt syrlige bær. Grei - men vel søt.
