Super purple coloured body with a thick, three to four centimetre tall pink and long-lasting head. Aroma of lactose, concord grapes, some tart raspberries and a stronger scent of some herbs, dry notes and a dash of pure yeast. Medium-bodied throughout; Strong blackcurrant flavours dominate with a woodsy bite, some lighter malts, a touch of tart fruits, but mostly a stronger earthy, slightly astringent and flavourful presence from the yeast with a bite from more assertive fruits such as blackberries and blueberries with a touch of tart and less strong sweetness from the lactose. Aftertaste shows some flowers and a ton of unfinished yeast and pungent grain, but the fruit is still front and centre, just not the best it could be. Overall, a nice enough 'soured' IPA that has some serious fruit and lactose components (if that's what you are after), but the more bitter notes are long gone, especially those that would have been on the hoppier side - they don't show at all. I sampled this sixteen ounce can, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 23-June-2019 for US$4,29 sampled at home in Washington on 29-October-2019.

Tart berry is right; if I hadn't read IPA on the label, I'd be hard-pressed to declare this pint as anything but a heavily fruited sour. Loads of bright, tart, acidic berry, followed by a mild sweet vanilla note and a grapefruit-like bitterness on the finish. Not sure how the dry-hopping benefits the beer; Mosaics are mostly lost amid the sourness, maybe adding a slight earthiness on the finish. Gorgeous pour, though, coming out hazy magenta with a cantankerous, massive pink head. Not bad, just does nothing for an IPA jones.
