Pigs Ear Day 1. Cask. Hazy amber beer, good pale colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Good dark toffee! Tangy fruits. Light floralness. Little candy fruits. Light semi dry finish. Interesting and flavoursome.

Cask at Pig’s Ear 2015. It pours lightly hazy deep brown with tiny beige head. The nose is warming, woody, varnish, brown bread, umami, spice, earthy toast and mild fruity sweetness.... classic English Strong. The taste is bitter-sweet, oily, toffee, fruit cake, raisin, toasted brown sugars, burnt treacle and alcohol heat with a dry, warming finish. Medium+ body, soft carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Pretty decent stuff.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2015, day 1 - London. Pours mostly clear amber-gold with a foamy, white head. The nose holds ripe fruits, bread, berries. Medium sweet flavour with tangy berries, other ripe fruits, plums, fruitcake. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; OK condition. Lightly warming on the finish, with continuing ripe fruit character, more berries and plums. Fair play here. Tasty one.
