Cask (handpump) @ Sheffield Tap, Platform 1B, Sheffield Station, Sheaf St., Sheffield - Central, South Yorkshire, England S1 2BP. [ As Tapped Brew Co Stogie ].ABV: 4.0%. Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, ash. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, ash, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150216] 6-3-7-3-13

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Notes on this stout lost when the Ratebeer App had an epic fail and deleted everything I had on it.

Cask. Sheffield Tap. Clear, dark, cola brown. Bubbly, lasting, beige head. Nose has coffee grinds. Dark roast malt. Light charred wood. Taste has some initial sweetness, then turns, roast coffee bean bitter. Smooth body. Finish gets more woody, and dries out at the end. Nice stout.

Cask at the York tap. Pours clear dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of chocolate, roast, stone fruit. Taste is more of the same. Roasted bitter finish.

Cask at the Sheffield Tap on 14th February 2015. Sepia-black with pale tan foam. Roasty aroma. Rich and intense roastiness in-mouth with coffee and bitter chocolate; slight citrus on the tongue. Lasting roasty malt finish. Fair amount of body and an engaging texture.

Cask at the Sheffield Tap; dark brown almost black pour with a creamy light tan head, light coffee aroma, taste has plain chocolate, coffee, dark roast, creamy mouthfeel.

Cask at the Euston Tap, 24/02/14. Extremely dark mahogony brown with a moderate light tan cover. Nose is toffee, liqourice, light roast, hint of cocoa powder. Taste comprises dark fruits, earthy cocoa, toffee fudge, subtle roast. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, drying closure. Adequate stout.
