Tap @ Borefts. Almost black. Roast and licorice in the aroma. Caramelly sweet flavor with some roast and warming alcohol. I couldn’t pick up much rum. Low on Carbon.

Draught @ 10th. BBF 2018 [ 10th Borefts Beer Festival 2018 ] @ Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. [ As Beerbliotek If I Could I Surely Wood (Rum BA) ].Clear dark black - red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, sweet malt, dark malt, wood, barrel - sweet wood. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, dark malt, wood, fruity malt, barrel - rum barrel, dark malt - chocolate, rum. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcohol (rum). [20180921] 8-3-8-3-16

7th September 2018
Beaverfest. Keg. Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Smooth palate, a little soft, decent fine minerally carbonation. Mellow dark malts and mellow dark chocolate. Tangy dark fruits. Mild spice. Tangy bitterish dark chocolate finish. Nice enough but a little bitter.

On tap at Borefts Beer Festival. De Molen Brewery, Bodegraven, Netherlands, Friday 21st September 2018. A sunshine and heavy showers sort of day. Pours black with a slim beige head. For a rum aged stout this is not bad (I don't normally like rum aged beers) Soft in the mouth, a little thinner than expected, roasty some light chocolate, overall good. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.7

Sampled at Borefts 2018, Day 1. Dark brown to black color, average sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, light roast, alcohol, dark malt bitter finish. Medium body and carbonation. Decent. 7-4-7-4-14.

Keg at Beaverex '18, day one, 07/09/18. Black with a tan cap. Nose is chocolate, spice, coffee, dark fruit esters. Taste comprises chocolate, nutty, bitter sweet frutis, roast malts, fruit cake. Full bodied, fine carbonation, light warming boost in the close. Solid enough well balanced impy.

Sample @Borefts Beer Festival 2018, day 1 with [Zlotta/Sjogro/Maakun/Svartvit].zwart met kaki kraag. aroma van mout, rum, chocolade, cacao, smaken van cacao, chocolade, geroosterde en gebrande mouten, zachte maar geen top rum, maar gelukkig smaakt deze rum iig niet medicinaal, dus al met al aardig. --- Beer merged from original tick of If I Could, I Surely Wood on 21 Sep 2018 at 23:40 - Score: 7
