Brick Field Brown is our homage to the English brown ale. This is a well balanced and full bodied beer, brewed with all-British barley and Golden Naked Oats, and partnered with Willamette hops from the USA. Earthy demerara sugar, smooth caramel and hazelnuts fill the palette.

330ml bottle (5.4% ABV); bottled on 19th Aug 2020 and drank at home on 28th Feb 2021. Mahogany in colour, beige topping. Don't see many 'Brown Ales' these days, so it was pleasing to find this (at Beer52's beer store pages). Nice, easy going beer, malty front with a semi-sweet caramel undertone.

330ml Bottle - Dark brown with red tinges. Chocolatey and roasted aroma with notes of cocoa, hazelnuts and a hint of vanilla. Chocolate, hazelnuts, brown sugar and vanilla can be detected in the smooth, roasted, malty and faintly sweet taste. Very nicely balanced.

Riktigt trevlig

Half-pint, cask ale shared with Finn at Tapped Leeds. A fair beige head that laced quite well. A deep ruby shade to a near-black body. Nutty nose supported by caramel malts. Brown malty flavours, nuts, bread and dark caramel. Mid-sweet malty ending, slightly roasted. Likable. (Leeds 28.01.2020).
