330ml bottle (5.4% ABV); bottled on 19th Aug 2020 and drank at home on 28th Feb 2021. Mahogany in colour, beige topping. Don't see many 'Brown Ales' these days, so it was pleasing to find this (at Beer52's beer store pages). Nice, easy going beer, malty front with a semi-sweet caramel undertone.

Unusual excellent brown! Clear deep brown in the glass and a fine tan head. Looks fine and inviting Pleasant and fine intensity in the aroma Balanced sweetness and bitterness Also a fine carbonation level. Nice mouth feeling Bready, some roast, herbal, nutty and some toffee in the flavor [Bottle from Gundersen Birthday Calendar 21]

330ml Bottle - Dark brown with red tinges. Chocolatey and roasted aroma with notes of cocoa, hazelnuts and a hint of vanilla. Chocolate, hazelnuts, brown sugar and vanilla can be detected in the smooth, roasted, malty and faintly sweet taste. Very nicely balanced.

Riktigt trevlig

Half-pint, cask ale shared with Finn at Tapped Leeds. A fair beige head that laced quite well. A deep ruby shade to a near-black body. Nutty nose supported by caramel malts. Brown malty flavours, nuts, bread and dark caramel. Mid-sweet malty ending, slightly roasted. Likable. (Leeds 28.01.2020).
