(Cask at White Horse, Parson's Green, London, 26 Nov 2017) Black colour with brief, foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark fruit, coffee, chocolate, raisins and liquorice. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, chocolate, dark fruit, liquorice and a balanced roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced stout. Very nice.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2018. Black beer thin tan head. Herby spicy liquorice. Tar. Jammy blackcurrant. No real condition. Just a nasty liquorice taste. Struggled to finish a quarter pint.

Draught @ Canalhouse, 48-52 Canal Street, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 7EH. [ As Pig & Porter Slow Black ].Clear dark black brown color with a small, fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, toffee, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, toffee, dark malt, roasted, raisin - figs, spicy. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. Cask at the Rail Ale Festival Chesterfield, 2016. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin whispy white head. The aroma is light roasty malt. The flavour is moderate sweet with a rich smooth, roasty, grainy oatmeal palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Gravity cask at Rale Ale ’16, 20/05/16. Black to extremely dark mahogany brown with a dcent tan cap. Nose is rich malts, chocolate, toffee, dark fruit esters. Taste comprises tangy dark fruit shreds, chocolate, dark malts, light spice, whisper of liqourice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent stout.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Black with a thick creamy-frothy head. It has a fairly dense tasting texture with a mildly milky roasted malt taste, with both a sweetness in aroma and its taste.
