Cask gravity at GBBF 2019. black beer. Minty aroma. Surprisingly easy drinking . Mint choc chip of a beer. Light burn on the finish. It's a bit of a wow beer I liked it. Put a smile on my face.

GBBF Day 2. Cask. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, slightly soft. Reasonable fine carbonation. Drinks very easy for the abv. Surprisingly minty, some dark chocolate means there is a mild After Eight vibe. The Absinthe barrel provides the expected aniseed, but it's soft. There is also juicy fruity licorice. Smooth finish. Some spice. Lovely. For me, my number one want at GBBF this year, of course much desire can often lead to much disappointment. Not here. Just one of those beers where everything works and works together. Helped other people to finish theirs and had another to myself.
