0.33 l bottle @ home, from Silves. Pours jet black with thin, quickly disappearing beige head. It shows the traces of chocolate, grains, cocoa powder, bitter hops and some faint alcohol. Surprisingly easy to drink for its abv, and has soft carbo. Decent no-adjunct, oldschool RIS, perhaps a bit too thin, but otherwise quite fine.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 20C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L46B12 (BBF DEZ.19). AROMA: medium fruit-like aroma with notes of red fruits, followed by a low background of roasted malt (coffee-like). faint nuttyness and slight alcohol. APPEARANCE: very dark brown body with ruby highlights. clear. medium-low light brown head with medium retention. leg formation. TASTE: initial low fruit-like note (blackcurrant), followed by a medium roasted malt character (dark chocolate). slight nuttyness. medium to medium-high bitterness with a dry, roasty and bitter finish. PALATE: full body with low carbonation. silky on the palate. very smooth alcohol warmth. OVERALL: a good imperial stout with less roastiness on the aroma and with an interesting fruity presence.
