(Draught at Ardbeg Embassy, Stockholm, 28 May 2014) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with apricots, orange, toffee and caramel. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, apricots, orange, toffee and a gentle bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain malt sweetness. Malty and tasty, with a gentle hop character. Quite nice.

Appearance: Clear nutty color with a thick tan head. Good lacing.
Aroma: Caramel, roasted and mild fruity.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate sweet and a rich bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Caramel malty, mild hoppy, roasted and fruity.
Overall impression: Nice and tasty. This would be a huge success at a British pub.

Smak och doft av malt, humle, karamell, smörkola, nötter, örter, gräss, mörkt bröd och rostade toner. Stor fruktig, min maltsötma, välbalanserad men en fin beska som rundar av det hela.

Flaska från SB. Mörkt bärnstensfärgad grumlig vätska med lågt gråvitt skum. Kola, karamell, säd och päronskal. Lätt sötma i smaken som saknar balansering i beskan.

Bottle bought @ Systembolaget Mölndal. Pours tiny hazy goldenish amber with a frothy goldenish beige head that slowly dissipates while leaving some thick sticky lacing on the glass. Smell is malty and herbal sweet dark bread, caramel, hay, orange zest, cereal, pine needles, moist wood and hints of gruel. Taste is sweet, bitter and herbal with sweet dark bread, caramel, toffee, cereal, hay, pine needles, orange zest and hints of resinous wood. Mouthfeel is round, tiny watery, tiny astringent and light to medium bodied. Finish is bitter and herbal with pumpernickel bread, resinous wood, caramel, grapefruit rinds, grass and pine needles. Quite allright...

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Lightly hazy copper colour, rich firm head. Floral hops and caramel up front. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded, firm mouthfeel. Caramel, marzipan and butter from the malt dominates, some floral, resiny hops, Mid bitter finish. Well made Fullers ESB clone... Not much depth, but quite pleasant.

Flaska från SBs lokala sortiment. Bränstensfärgad, högt fluffigt skum, lätt disig. Doft av nötter, kryddigt bröd och torkade blommor. Relativt torr för stilen med något mer beska. Smak av nötter, kastanj, karamell, kolaremmar, doftstarka blommor som viol och lavendel och typisk engelsk humle. Snälla smaker, len munkänsla, revlig och lättdrucken.

Bottle from Systembolaget, e-order in November 2013. Mahogany with a small head. Aroma and taste of light roasted malt, caramel, dark bread, hay and some hops. Easy to drink with a smooth mouthfeel. A descent one.
