Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of nice bourbon notes with some vanilla and woody notes, nice black chocolate malt notes with some rye notes also perceptible. Taste is also dominated by bourbon and vanilla notes with some rich black chocolate notes with some rye barrel notes also perceptible. Body is full with a nice creamy texture and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Well executed barrel-aged stout with some good drinkability.

Bottle 1427. A numbered, waxed Bottle Logic? Count me in! Unfortunately clearly well past its prime. Some bourbon, but mostly just flat tasting, earthy and dusty stout. Some chunkyness. Too old, so no rating, but an awesome tick.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, cocoa and alcohol. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long roasted, chocolate, coffee, cocoa and vanilla finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Black with no head. Aroma and flavour have sweet whisky maltiness. Some dried fruits and sherry too. Woody and warming. Hints of coffee too.

Mild aroma, chocolate flavour, sweet, with some tar, but also too much alcohol, and not enough complexity.
Very good, but not exceptional.

Pirch black colour, pours still, no head. Aroma of bourbon, almonds, alcohol. Thick and oily mouthfeel; dark chocolate, moderately sweet, dark molasses, touch of soy sauce, bourbon, roasted almonds, salt, some vanilla, and a lot of booze.
Very good.
